Important Safety Instructions

BTS200 HIGH-DEFINITION SPEAKER
Uniden’s BTS200 high denition Bluetooth speaker provides clear stereo sound in a
compact, portable package. With Bluetooth V2.1 compatability, the BTS200 pairs with your
cell phone to become a speakerphone for hands free conversations. You can also connect
your music player (wired or wireless) for crisp, clear audio.

SET UP YOUR BTS200 SPEAKER
Install the Battery
1. Remove the battery from any protective packaging and discard the packaging
accordingly.
2. Align the battery pack with the guides along the inside of the battery area. Be sure the
contact slots are in the correct position to close on the contacts.
3. Slide the battery in until you hear the latch click.

Charge the Battery
1. Insert the adapter’s DC jack into the DC connection.
2. Plug the adapter into an AC power supply (standard wall outlet).
Your battery must be fully charged (more than 7.5 hours) before you can use your speaker.
Turn on Your Speaker
When you turn on your speaker for the rst time, it automatically goes into pairing mode.
The Bluetooth icon ( ) ashes rapidly and is ready to pair, The next time you turn on your
speaker, it searches for already paired devices and then moves into a standby state.
1. Press and hold for at least 3 seconds.
2. All LEDs light and a power on tone sounds.
3. ashes slowly while looking for Bluetooth devices. It remains steady on when
Bluetooth devices are discovered; otherwise, it goes out.

Pair Your Bluetooth Device to Your Speaker
Make sure your speaker has been fully charged and is in pairing mode.
1. Select a BT V2.1 or above device (mobile phone or music player) to pair.
2. Select the Searching mode on your Bluetooth device (refer to your Bluetooth device’s
owner’s manual for details if necessary).
3. Your Bluetooth device should nd BTS200; select it and use 0000 for a pairing code if
necessary.
4. Verify that you are connected to your speaker. The Bluetooth icon moves to a steady ON
state when pairing is complete.

BTS200 SPEAKER OPERATION
Press and hold for at least 3 seconds to turn on your speaker.
The and keys control the speaker’s volume level during callphone operation and
music playback. Press and release the keys to increase or decrease the volume level one
step at a time. Press and hold and to quickly raise and lower the volume levels.

Your speaker sounds an alert tone when it reaches the maximum upper and lower volume
levels.
Basic Cell Phone Operations
The green LED ashes when your cellphone has an incoming call. Both the speaker
and your cellphone may ring, depending on your cellphone settings.

Set up a conference call
1. Establish a conference call through your cellphone
according to your provider’s requirements.
2. Press to transfer the audio from your cellphone
to the speaker.
Call Waiting
You can receive call waiting notication when your cellphone is paired to your speaker. The
LED ashes and your speaker sounds an alert tone.
Your cellphone must subscribe to Call Waiting service to use these features;
contact your telephone provider for more information.

Basic Music Operation
When you pair a Bluetooth music player to your speaker, you control operation through
your speaker.

NOTE: When you stop or pause the music playback, your speaker starts
streaming music into a buer. The music resumes at the same volume level
after you press .

SPECIAL FEATURES
Charge Cellphone using a USB Cable
If you have the proper tting USB cable (not included), you can charge your cellphone
through your speaker. Be sure you have a USB cable that will t both USB connections - the
one on your speaker and the one on your cellphone.
1. Connect the USB cable to your cellphone and to your speaker.
2. There are no specic charging LEDs on your speaker; however, any charging LEDs on
your cellphone may blink accordingly.
If you are using the USB connection to recharge your cellphone battery,
your speaker must be turned ON.

Play Music through a Wired Connection
You can still play music through your BTS200 speaker even if your music device is not
paired to your speaker. However, you must have a 3.5 mm headphone port on your music
device. You can physically connect your music device to your speaker with a cable having a
3.5mm minijack at one end (not included).
1. Plug one end of the cable into your music device, just like you would a pair of
headphones.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into your speaker’s 3.5 mm port labeled
Audio in
.
3. Use your music device to start and control music playback through your speaker.
The following restrictions apply when you are playing music through a wired connection:
•If both a Bluetooth device and a wired device are connected to your speaker, the
Bluetooth device will take priority over the wired device.
•The BTS200 does not control the wired device; it only plays music through a wired
connection. It cannot operate or skip . You must use the wired device to do that.
•If you are listening to music from the wired device and you press , your speaker will
start playing music from the Bluetooth device if available.
Manage SRS WOW HD™ On/O
The BTS200 speaker utilizes SRS WOW HD™ technology. WOW HD™ signicantly improves
the playback quality of audio, delivering a dynamic 3D entertainment experience with
deep, rich bass and high frequency clarity for crisp detail.

You can turn SRS on or o (default = on). This speaker retains the STS setting during power
o.
1. Press and at the same time when the music is playing.
2. If you hear a single acknowledgement tone, you have turned SRS o. If you hear a
double acknowledgement tone, you have turned SRS back on.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If this happens... Try this...
Disconnection due to Out of
Range
After back to connection range, press “Stand-by or
Phone” key for reconnection.
No “Beep” sound after
disconnection of A2DP HFP
Press “Power & Phone” key to get connection of A2DP &
HFP successfully.
Sound is not clear or there is

Please check BTS200 or your Bluetooth device volume
level.
Music won’t play on the
BTS200
–Make sure your Bluetooth device has A2DP.
–Check if both devices are connected.
–Turn your BTS200 o and then back on to auto-
connect with your Bluetooth device.

Reset your BTS200 Speaker

Battery Features
Your BTS200 comes equipped with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion polymer battery. You can
recharge the battery by connecting it to 120vAC power through the AC adapter.
Install and Charge the Battery
See p. XX for details on installing and charging the battery (the same procedures as for
initial turnup.
Remove the Battery
1. Press down on the battery latch to release the battery.
2. With the battery latch pressed down, press down and push out the opposite end of the
battery to slide it out of the battery compartment.
Check the Battery Level
Press the battery Indicator button while the AC adapter is not connected to your speaker.
The battery LEDs light according to how much power remains in the battery:
•3 bars = 100 - 70% remaining

•2 bars = 70 - 35% remaining
•1 bar = 35 - 15% remaining
•0 bars = Less than 15% power remaining
Charge the Battery
NOTE: If you are using the USB connections to recharge the battery, be sure your speaker is
turned ON.

original retail sale. The warranty is invalid if the Product is a) damaged or not maintained as reasonable or necessary, b) modied,
altered, or used as part of any conversion kits, subassemblies, or any congurations not sold by Uniden, c) improperly installed,
d) serviced or repaired by someone other than an authorized Uniden service center for a defect or malfunction covered by this

warrantor will either, at its option, repair or replace the defective unit and return it to you without charge for parts, service, or any
other cost (except shipping and handling) incurred by warrantor or its representatives in connection with the performance of this
warranty. Warrantor, at its option, may replace the unit with a new or refurbished unit.
