BTS200 HIGH-DEFINITION SPEAKER Uniden’s BTS200 high definition Bluetooth speaker provides clear stereo sound in a compact, portable package. With Bluetooth V2.1 compatability, the BTS200 pairs with your cell phone to become a speakerphone for hands free conversations. The BTS200 speaker is not a data storage device; do not attempt to copy files to it. What’s Included •• BTS200 Speaker •• AC Adapter (PS-0043) •• Lithium-Ion polymer battery (BT-1026) SET UP YOUR BTS200 SPEAKER Install the Battery 1. Remove the battery from any protective packaging and discard the packaging accordingly. 2. Align the battery pack with the guides along the inside of the battery area. Be sure the contact slots are in the correct position to close on the contacts. 3. Slide the battery in until you hear the latch click. 4 - English Charge the Battery 1. Insert the adapter’s DC jack into the DC connection. 2. Plug the adapter into an AC power supply (standard wall outlet). Your battery must be fully charged (more than 7.5 hours) before you can use your speaker. Turn on Your Speaker When you turn on your speaker for the first time, it automatically goes into pairing mode. The Bluetooth icon ( ) flashes rapidly and is ready to pair, The next time you turn on your speaker, it searches for already paired devices and then moves into a standby state. 1. Select a BT V2.1 or above device (mobile phone or music player) to pair. 2. Select the Searching mode on your Bluetooth device (refer to your Bluetooth device’s owner’s manual for details if necessary). 3. Your Bluetooth device should find BTS200; select it and use 0000 for a pairing code if necessary. 4. Verify that you are connected to your speaker. SPECIAL FEATURES Charge Cellphone using a USB Cable If you have the proper fitting USB cable (not included), you can charge your cellphone through your speaker. Be sure you have a USB cable that will fit both USB connections - the one on your speaker and the one on your cellphone. 1. Connect the USB cable to your cellphone and to your speaker. 2. There are no specific charging LEDs on your speaker; however, any charging LEDs on your cellphone may blink accordingly. If you are using the USB connection to recharge your cellphone battery, your speaker must be turned ON. 14 - English Play Music through a Wired Connection You can still play music through your BTS200 speaker even if your music device is not paired to your speaker. However, you must have a 3.5 mm headphone port on your music device. You can physically connect your music device to your speaker with a cable having a 3.5mm minijack at one end (not included). 1. Plug one end of the cable into your music device, just like you would a pair of headphones. 2. Plug the other end of the cable into your speaker’s 3.5 mm port labeled Audio In. 3. Use your music device to start and control music playback through your speaker. The following restrictions apply when you are playing music through a wired connection: •• If both a Bluetooth device and a wired device are connected to your speaker, the Bluetooth device will take priority over the wired device. •• The BTS200 does not control the wired device; it only plays music through a wired or skip . Manage SRS WOW HD™ On/Off The BTS200 speaker utilizes SRS WOW HD™ technology. WOW HD™ significantly improves the playback quality of audio, delivering a dynamic 3D entertainment experience with deep, rich bass and high frequency clarity for crisp detail. English - 15 You can turn SRS on or off (default = on). This speaker retains the STS setting during power off. 1. Press and at the same time when the music is playing. 2. Music won’t play on the BTS200 –– Make sure your Bluetooth device has A2DP. –– Check if both devices are connected. –– Turn your BTS200 off and then back on to autoconnect with your Bluetooth device. 16 - English If this happens... Sound is too small / too much distortion Adjust the volume level of BTS200 or Bluetooth device. Phone call not answer by BTS200 –– Make sure your cellphone has HFP. –– Check if both devices are connected. –– Restart BTS200 for auto-connecting with your Bluetooth device. Music doesn’t play after hanging up a call Press play to resume music. BTS200 doesn’t control the music Make sure your Bluetooth device has AVRCP. Reset your BTS200 Speaker 1. Turn off the BTS200. You can recharge the battery by connecting it to 120vAC power through the AC adapter. Install and Charge the Battery See p. XX for details on installing and charging the battery (the same procedures as for initial turnup. Remove the Battery 1. Press down on the battery latch to release the battery. 2. With the battery latch pressed down, press down and push out the opposite end of the battery to slide it out of the battery compartment. Check the Battery Level Press the battery Indicator button while the AC adapter is not connected to your speaker.
