3. Operations
3.1 To Power On the Pager
•
Press and hold the Confirm key for 3 seconds.
•
Either an audio beeping tone or pager vibration will be generated as the power on
signal.
•
Stop the power on signal by pressing any key, the pager will then display the
status screen.
•
The pager will then enter the standby mode for power saving with the LCD turned
off.
•
The status screen can be displayed again by pressing any key.
3.2 To Power Off the Pager
•
Press the Function key to evoke the second function menu from the status screen.
•
Press either one of the arrow keys to select the ‘
•
Hold the Confirm key for 3 seconds to turn off the pager.

3.3 Accessing Memory Banks
•
Press the Function key to evoke the first function menu from the status screen.
•
Press an arrow key to select the ‘
the user memory bank.
•
Press an arrow key to select the ‘ ’ icon and press the confirm key to access the
personal memory bank.
•
Press an arrow key to select the ‘
the news memory bank.

3.4 Receiving and Reading Messages
•
The pager will generate an audio alert, a vibration alert or remain silent when
receiving a call.
•
The following screen will be displayed simultaneously.
•
Press any key to stop the alert.
•
Press the Confirm key read the latest message.
•
The pager will notify the user the number of unread messages by displaying the
‘ ’ icon.
•
Fast message scrolling can be invoked by continuously pressing the Confirm key
(all unread messages will be displayed first).
•
The following prompt message will be displayed if there is no message.

3.5 Individual Message Removal
•
Recall the message to be deleted.
•
Press the Function key to evoke the user memory bank menu.
•
Press an arrow key to select the ‘

3.6 Removing All Messages
•

3.7 Message Protection
•
Up to 10 messages can be protected.
•
Recall a message in the user memory bank and press the Function key to evoke
the user memory bank menu.

•
A ‘ ’ icon would be display at the top right corner of the message screen.
•
A prompt message will be displayed if there are already 10 messages protected in
the memory.

3.8 Copying Message to Personal Memory Bank
•
Recall a message in the user memory bank.
•
Press the Function key to evoke the user memory bank menu.
•
Press an arrow key to select the ‘

Press the Confirm key to copy the message to the personal memory bank.
•
A message will be prompted to the user if the personal memory is full.
•
The pager will display a screen for personal alarm setting after the message has
been copied. Follow the steps outlined in Section Personal Message Alarm Setup
to set the personal alarm, or press the Confirm key to abort.

•
User can set a personal alarm to every message in the personal memory bank.
•
Select a message in the personal memory bank first.
•
Press the Function key to evoke the personal memory bank menu.

crossed-bell icon ‘ ’ will be displayed if the alarm has been activated.
News Message Alarm Setup
•
User can also set a news message alarm to every mailbox in the news memory
bank.

After entering the news memory bank, press the Function key to evoke the news
memory bank menu.

Press an arrow key to locate the alarm number and press the Function key to
select an alarm.
•
Repeat the steps to select an alarm mode among the options of one-off ‘
‘ ’ and disable ‘ ’.
•
If either the one-off mode or the daily mode is selected, the alarm time will be
prompted to user for alarm time setting.
•
Press an arrow key to locate the time digits.
•
Press the Function key to adjust the time.
•
Press the Confirm key to confirm the setting and return to the status screen.
•
If only one alarm is set, either the ‘ ’ or ‘ ’ icon will be displayed in the status
screen. If both alarms are set, then the ‘ ’ icon will be displayed.

first.

•
Press an arrow key to select a melody among the standard tone and 15 melodies.
•
Press the Confirm key to confirm the setting and return to the status screen.

Unread Message Alarm Adjustment
•

The current unread message alarm setting is displayed in the adjustment screen.

Press an arrow key to toggle between ‘2m’ (2 minutes) and ‘--’ (disable the
function).

This function cannot be executed if battery power is depleted.

User has to enter the previously set password before proceeding further (enter
‘0000’ if the pager is used for the first time).

Press the Function key to toggle the digits for password entry.

An icon will be displayed to notify the user for password re-entry if a wrong
password is entered.

After the correct password has been entered, press the Confirm key to enter the
second password setup screen.

Low Battery Alert
•
An hourly low voltage alert will be generated when the battery voltage drops
below a certain level.

Stop the alert by pressing any key.

Power off the pager and replace the battery.
