USING THE REMOTECONTROLRemote controlWARNINGNever leave the remote controlin the vehicle if children oranimals are also left in the vehicle.The vehicle's systems and remotecontrol functions could be operated,which may result in injury.Note:The operational range of theremote control will vary considerablydepending on atmosphericconditions and interference fromother transmitting devices.The vehicle is supplied with tworemote controls, but up to six can beprogrammed to the vehicle at anyone time.1. UnlockingPress briefly to unlock thevehicle, and deactivate thealarm. The hazard warninglamps will flash twice to indicate thatthe vehicle is unlocked and the alarmhas been deactivated. The interiorlamps will illuminate to assist entry tothe vehicle.Single/Multi-point entryWhen you press the unlock buttonyour vehicle will unlock in one of twoways:1. Unlock the driver's door only. Asecond press is required to unlockthe remaining doors and tailgate.2. Unlock all doors, and the tailgate.This security feature unlocks only thedriver’s door and tailgate. It can bedisabled on individual remote controlsby unlocking the vehicle thensimultaneously pressing and holdingthe lock and unlock buttons for threeseconds. The vehicle will lock andthen unlock in the currently selectedmode and the hazard warning lightswill flash twice to confirm the change.You can now unlock all doors with asingle press. Repeating theprocedure will re-enable Single pointentry.LockingPress briefly to lock thevehicle, and activate thealarm. The hazard warninglamps will flash to indicate that thevehicle is locked.Automatic relockingIf a door, or the tailgate, are notopened within one minute ofunlocking the vehicle, doors will lockagain automatically.Approach lightingWhen approaching thevehicle during darknesspress to switch on theapproach illumination. Press again toturn the approach lamps off.The approach illuminationperiod set at the factory isthirty seconds. This can beconfigured by a Land Rover Dealerto provide illumination lastingbetween Zero and 120 seconds.TailgatePress briefly to release thetailgate.Emergency alarmPress and hold for threeseconds, or press twicewithin three seconds, toactivate the horn and the hazardlamps.Once active for more than fiveseconds the alarm can be cancelledby pressing the button and holdingfor three seconds, or pressing twicewithin three seconds.Note:The horn and hazard lampswill switch off automatically after twominutes and forty five seconds.2Using the remote control
Remote batteryThe remote control batteries arerecharged when the remote isdocked and the engine is running.For this reason it is recommendedthat each remote is used periodically.This will ensure that the batteries arekept charged and ready for use.3Using the remote control
