At 2.4 GHz, the 3:1 rule is defined as follows. For every 3 dB of antenna gainexceeding 6 dBi, power delivered to the antenna must be reduced 1 dB below the otherwise permitted maximumtransmitter peak output power of 1 watt (30 dBm or 0 dBW). The power level delivered to the antenna at2.4 GHz (S-band) in point-to-point operation can be calculated as the lessor of:Power delivered to antenna = Lesser value in Table 1 or Table 230 dBm - (Gain Antenna - 6dBi)3NOTE:Exceeding specified levels may create an installation that violates FCC Rules andRegulations or Canadian IC requirementsTable 1Product Power LimitsS-Band USA CanadaAntennasDataMetro 320 0 dBi 8 dBi 16 dBi 24 dBiCh 1 29 dBm 28 dBm 27 dBm 24 dBm 29 dBm*Ch 2 29 dBm 28 dBm 27 dBm 24 dBmCh 12 29 dBm 28 dBm 27 dBm 24 dBmCh 13 28 dBm 27 dBm 26 dBm 24 dBmCh 14 17 dBm 14 dBm 7 dBm 7 dBmAll others not listed 29 dBm 29 dBm 27dBm 24 dBmDataMetro 1280 0 dBi 8 dBi 16 dBi 24 dBi See LocalAgentCh 1 22 dBm 20 dBm 21 dBm 7 dBmCh 2 25 dBm 22 dBm 24 dBm 24 dBmCh 3 29 dBm 28 dBm 27 dBm 24 dBmCh 4 29 dBm 28 dBm 27 dBm 24 dBmCh 5 28 dBm 27 dBm 27 dBm 24 dBmCh 6 25 dBm 23 dBm 23 dBm 14 dBmCh 7 21 dBm 17 dBm 15 dBm NOT USEDCh 8 19 dBm 16 dBm 15 dBm NOT USEDCh 9 19 dBm 15 dBm 15 dBm NOT USED* Subject to 36 dBm EIRP in Canada
