GENERAL FUNCTION
Every time you change channels, you will receive
program inlormation for a lew second.
Whrle viewing channel. you can see the current
channel rnrormaiion anytrme, pressrng INFO key
on the RCU
Note The channel rnlormahon can be drsplayed
lor 2,4,S,8,10, or 12 seconds on the screen (Vou
can arrange the time by the Syslem setting menu )
Volume & Audio Control
1) Volume Control

Note -xrc 5080PVR has 18 volume levels and
this shall be comm/led from the adjusted volume
level of your TV.

When you select channel manager. default
favarrte lrst will be showed on the screen as
Favornel
Seled your favorite channel and then press OK
key Then 0 wt" be marked at rear ol your
seleded channel name
And rl you want to delete the channel name in the
ravorrte channel list, press OK key once agarh,
then the 9 mark will be disappeared
After the setectron ollavonte channels press EXIT
key and press FAV key to see ll each of the
lavorrte groups are properly selected

t When you enter channel manager, the default
favorite group wlII be snowed once on the screen
as Favorite 1
2 in the channel manager page, press .
FAVORITE 1 -a (RED KEY) and select
FAVORITE. then Favorite group 123 will be
displayed. Afler that, select group and cursor
channel what you want and press ok key by
group
Move chann
in the TV channel Manager Page, press 0 Edit
(GREEN KEV) on the RCU and select MOVE rn
the command box
select a channel by pressing OK key and move the
cursor to the locatron rn which you vlmnt to move
the selected channel and press OK key. Then‘ you
will lrnd the seleqed channel has moved to the
desrred location and mannel no also changed rn
orderaccordrngly
And check whether the channel number is
changed on the channel list or not

tn Mam page, press 0 Edit (GREEN KEY) on
Ihe RCU, and men seleel Delele on the Command
menu
This Delete command allows you to delete the
channel permanently Flrsl select the channels,
whlch you want to delete, min selected channel
number wtll he changed to ll you cancel the
selecttan‘ press OK key agarn, then the number
will be back as II was
lf you dectded to delete, press EXIT key and then
Message box wlII he dtsptayed Press OK to
delete
And check whether the channel number is
changed extttng on channel ttst
Warning The deleted channel can not be
reL‘avered unless you Search agaln Please be
careful when yvu decide lo delele Channel.
Sort Method
ln Maln Page, press 0 SORT (YELLOW KEY)
on Ihe RCU, and Sort Method will be displayed
Thts Sort method has 4 sub commands and Il
allows you to sort the channels as provided
You can sort the channels by Lock. Scramble.
SAT name and CH name
Place the cursor on your destred ttne, and then
press OK key
And check whether the channels are sorted

recording another channel in same TP, And it allows you to record current programs while
playing back earlier recordings slmultaneously. Also it makes you free from one-way broadcast
times through tune-shill function When you need to leave your seat on urgent busmss, you
can playback from the paused screen with time delay alter come back and also STE enables
you can determine the start time of a progmm you want independent of me broadcast time
SEMI TWIN PVR MO
in the SEMI TWIN PVR mode, recording and
watching can be carried out simultaneously In the
same W.
1) Recording
You can record a program which you are watching
now by pressing REC on the RCU
If you press REC key on me RCU, you can record
the current viewing program internally while
watching the program at real time.
During watching channels, Pre Recording is
possible. But, during single recording, Pre
Recording will be paused automaacally.
1) Watching
You can go any channels you want to see in the
same TP.
3) Save a $009
if you press STOP key on the RCU in the SEMI
TWIN mode, you will be back to programs you are
recording. And prfis Stop one more Then a
Dialogue box pops up and then you can save the
channel. Also it asks you whether you will save it
as a channel name. If you want to change file
name what you want, please press OK key at the
column or file name than alphabet box will be
displayed on the screen Finally if you want to
save the program, please select YES button in the
box and then it retums to Live mode Otherwise if
you select N0 button it returns to Live mode
without saving.
4) Ann Snip
If you enter your reservafion lime for recording, it
will be recorded. And you will return to live mode
when reservation time is over.

1) Pre Recording
To use Pre Recording function, the Pre
Recording option should be enabled. To find the
Pre Recording optlon Menu, follow the steps below.
Main Menu -) channel Manager -) HDD Manager
-)PVR setting -) PREREC‘DN”
Press 0 PVR Setting on the RCU. Then PVR
setting vwll be dlsplayed.
2) Time shift Mode
if you press Rec key , PAUSE key or Slow key
on the RCU during watching channel, It will
become "Tlme Shift Made".
You can record temporarily program. And lime
delayed program will be shown.
Warning: If you change channel, temporarily
recorded contents ln Pre Recording mode mll be
deleted.
3) Save St Stop
If you want to save permanently, press REC key
on the Rcu
Press Info Kay on the RCU to display " Recording
Infor bar".
Then you can put “play pcsin'on" to the point of
recording you want by pressing <7 .> key on the
RCU.
And you can press “REC” key on the Rcu
when you press stop button, it asks you whether .
you WlII save lt as a channel name. If you want to
change his name what you want, please press OK
key at the column of file name than alphabet box
will be displayed on the screen. Finally if you want
to save the program, please select YES human ln
the box and then it returns to Live mode.

In the Recording mode, recording and playback
can be carried out simultaneously. You can
playback the recorded program with time delay as
much as you want to keep recording live signal.
1) Recording
You can record a program which you are watching
now by pressing REC key on the RCU then the
front panel will be displayed as r-P by seven
segment.
If you press ch key on the Rcu, you can record
the current vuewmg program Internally while
watching the program at real time.
If you press PAUSE key] the current broadcasting
program (audio & video) is paused but starts
recording it temporarily.
z) Time-Shift Mud.
You can record temporarily a program which you
are the watching now by pressing PAUSE Key on
the RCU then the front
3) Playback / slow playback
if you press PLAY key on the RCU, the recorded
program plays in normal speed with time delay and
then if you press PLAY key again, it plays in slow.
However, the program IS recording continuously
internally unless you press STOP key.

If you press as key repeatedly, the recorded
program plays forward in x4, X8, x16 speed than
normal speed and, press new key repeatedly,
the recorded program plays backward x4, x8, x15
speed than normal speed.
In that case, you can check the speed as the
mark >, >>, >>>,>>>> rn the upper Iefl srde
on the screen.
- Pause
if you want to playback the recorded program
step by step, press PAUSE key repeatedlyu
4) Playbatk while recording current
program
If you want to playback of earlier retarded
program while recording current program
simultaneously, please press OK key on the RCU.
The file list will be displayed an the screen and
then select a program what you want to playback.
5) Save a Stop
If you press STOP key on the RCU in the Trme—
Shift mode, a Dralogue box pops up and then you
can save the channel. Also it asks you whether

OK key at the column or file name than alphabet
box will be displayed on the screen. Finally if you
want to save the program, please select ves
button In the box and then It returns to Live
mode. Otherwise if you select N0 butbon it

While playing back or recording, if you prss
INFO key on me RCU, Inftrbar is appeared on
screen and, unlss you press EXIT key, Info—Bar
is displayed in connnuous.
The Infdbar shows icons, total recording time,
playing time and remaining HDD size.
while displaying Info—bar, if you prss 2 A keys
then current playing pointer will jump In previous
or next.
If you press mro key afte' disappearing of me
info-bar, me info-bar appears agarn and, unless
you press 5er key on the RCU, Info—Bar is not
disappeared.
Playback m
In Playback mode, you can playback the already
recorded program but can not record any
program. Regardless of current broadalst
progmm, you can play back me recorded file in
the File List.
To operate the Playback mode, you can select a
program you went after pressing puv button.
1) Playback
If you press PLAY key on the RCU, then File Llst
is displayed in me mp right corner. Then you
can freely select and playback a file on screen
alter pressing 0K key on the RCUl While you
are watching renamed channel, PLAY M" be
displayed in me front panel by seven segment
1) Slaw playback
If you press PLAY key, the recorded program
plays ln normal speed and If you press our!
key again, It plays in slow speed

3) FF, REW, Pause, Jump
If you want to playback the recorded program step
by step, press PAUSE key repeatedly If you press
FiF key repeatedly, (he recorded progiam plays
forward in x4, x8, x16 speed than norrmI speed and,
press REW key repeatedly, the recorded program
plays backward x4, x8, x16 speed flan normal
speed
In addition, you can move fast to where you want to
playback by press 2g key on the RCU when the
info-bar is displayed on die screen
it you press stop button. it exits lrem Playback
mode and goes as Live mode
Timer Recording
You can record your favorite program free from your
time and location and determine tne start time oi the
program independent o! the broadest lime tnrougn
Timer Recording,
if you press MENU key in Live mode, you can select
Timer in the Menu If you set the time and select On
or on in record bar, then the timer recording is
operated.
PG Recording
Also you can have same advantage as me Timer
recording tnrougn EPG Recording
If you press EPG key on the RCU in Live mode, you
can select Program in EPG screen, If you press
REC key, tnen Dialogue Box pops up and you can
change sian time, end time and file name, Then, if
you press ox key, EPG recording is operated ll
EPG time precedes present time, ieoording starts
coming out of EPG.

Channel Manger ,> HDD manger in the mam
menu, file inlormaklon such as Program name,
Channel name, Record lime, File size, Durahcn
and Free size ls displayed,
You an select one of Play, Lock, Move, Delete
by press solar hot key on the RCU ad ifyou press
MENU key on the Rcu. additional box will be pop
up so that you an seleel Formal HDD, Repeal
mode and Shuffle Mode
You can change the playback order of the
recorded files Ilsted to press 0 EDIT.
