980-000010-000R1.01 eLink Tag Tester - User Guide Tag Tester Functions Rear View And Battery Replacement 9V Alkaline Battery The Tag Tester performs the following functions: • Reads the unique ID of a tag, by generating an RF field (Tag In Field – TIF). • Tests the Tamper mechanism of a tag (Tag Initiated Communications – TIC). • Reads the battery status for the tag (Good or bad only). Tag ID Test Indicator Replace only with Alkaline Battery Battery Cover Tag Tamper Test Indicator 2 Lines by 12 Characters backlit Liquid Crystal Display Scroll Up Button Cancel Entry and Power OFF Button Scroll Down Button Computer Serial Interface (Future option) Tag Read Range Accept Entry, Power ON and Backlight Button 6” Field Pattern Tag is best read about 6” under Tester.
