Fujitsu F905i i-mode 3.5G
UMTS 2100 GSM 900/1800/1900
Thank you for purchasing Fujitsu F905i mobile terminal.
Both before and during use of your F905i mobile terminal, be sure to thoroughly read this manual
to ensure you are able to correctly use your F905i mobile terminal. For more information, you may
contact FarEastTone Customer Service, as mentioned at the end of this manual.
Treated with care, your F905i mobile terminal will be your able partner.
Before using your terminal
• Some of the services described in this manual may not be supported by all networks. Please
contact your network operator to confirm whether you can use or not a particular service.
• F905i terminal is intended to be used with FarEasTone SIM/USIM card, and we do not make any
warranty for the F905i terminal when used with a SIM/USIM card provided by someone other
than FarEasTone.
• F905i terminal is compatible with i-mode service. This service supports connection to i-mode
sites (programs) or i-mode compatible sites that provide a variety of useful information and
allows you to exchange i-mode mail. i-mode is an optional service requiring subscription to your
network operator FarEastTone.
• F905i terminal supports HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) technology, allowing to
perform high-speed communication with a receiving speed of up to 3.6 Mbps and a sending
speed of up to 384 Kbps. Note that HSDPA is supported by F905i terminal only when operating
on FarEasTone network, in the area providing HSDPA service.
• Your phone supports emergency numbers, such as 112, which allow to make emergency calls
with or without a SIM/USIM card inserted, if a 3G (UMTS) or GSM network is within range.
However emergency calls may not be possible on all mobile phone networks, or when certain
network services or phone features are in use. You should therefore never rely solely upon any
mobile phone for essential communications, such as medical emergencies.
• Because your terminal uses radio waves, it may not function in locations where it is difficult for
radio waves to penetrate, such as tunnels, underground passages and some buildings, in areas
where radio wave signals are weak, or out of service area. Even when you are high up in a tall
building or condominium and nothing blocks your view outside, your terminal may not be able to
receive or transmit signals. Also, communication may be interrupted even when the signal meter
on your terminal indicates there is a strong signal.
3+4DQQM2CIG9GFPGUFC[#RTKN2/
• The terminal has a built-in antenna located near the fingerprint sensor. Do not cover the antenna
with your hand when the phone is in use, since this may reduce call quality and may cause the
handset to operate at a higher power level than needed, thus shortening call and standby times.
• Your terminal encodes voice communication as digital data. When you are operating your
terminal while moving to a location subject to weaker radio wave signals, the transmitted digital
data may not be correctly decoded and as a result the decoded voice may differ somewhat from
the actual voice.
• Use your terminal in a way that does not disturb others in public spaces, crowded locations or
quiet places.
• Maintain a separate record of the data (Phonebook, Schedule, Notepad, Recorded messages,
Voice memos, Movie memo, etc.) you registered in your terminal. You are recommended to save
important data to microSD card (A microSD card is required. If you have none, purchase it in an
electric appliance store). Using the PC software contained in the CD-ROM for F905i terminal, you
can also transfer and save phonebook, mail and some other data to a PC.
Note that we assume no responsibility for any loss of saved contents or data resulting from
malfunction, repair, changing of the model or other handling of the F905i terminal. In addition,
Fujitsu assumes no responsibility for third-party applications and for contents or data
downloaded from the network. We do not endorse liability for preinstalled bookmarks and links to
third-party internet sites.
• The user hereby agrees that the user shall be solely responsible for the result of the use of SSL.
Neither Fujitsu nor the certifier as listed herein makes any representation and warranty as for the
security in the use of SSL. If the data should be erased, we assume no responsibility for the loss
of any data.

Commission (NCC) Notice
frequency(RF) energy, which SAR* value,
when tested for compliance against the
standard was X.XXX W/kg. While there may be
differences between the SAR* levels of various
phones and at various positions, they all
meet*** the EU requirements for RF exposure.
Without permission granted by the NCC, any
company, enterprise, or user is not allowed to
change frequency, enhance transmitting
power or alter original characteristic as well as
performance to an approved low power radiofrequency device.
The low power radio-frequency devices shall
not influence aircraft security and interfere
legal communications. If found, the user shall
cease operating immediately until no
interference is achieved. The said legal
communications means radio communications
are operated in compliance with the
Telecommunications Act.
The maximum SAR allowed in Taiwan is 2.0 W/
kg; the actual SAR level from the submitted
test sample is X.XXX W/kg.
Please limit exposure to reduce the affect of
electromagnetic energy.
*The exposure standard for mobile phones
employs a unit of measurement known as the
Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR.
** The SAR limit for mobile phones used by the
public is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged
over ten grams of tissue, recommended by
The Council of the European Union. The limit
incorporates a substantial margin of safety to
give additional protection for the public and to
account for any variations in measurements.
*** Tests for SAR have been conducted using
standard operation positions with the phone
transmitting at its highest certified power level
in all tested frequency bands. Although the
SAR is determined at the highest certified
power level, the actual SAR level of the phone
while operating can be well below the
maximum value. This is because the phone is
designed to operate at multiple power levels
so as to use only the power required to reach
the network. In general, the closer you are to a
base station antenna, the lower the power
output.
❖Declaration of Conformity
The product "F905i" is declared to conform to
the essential requirements of European Union
Directive 1999/5/EC Radio and
Telecommunications Terminal Equipment
Directive 3.1(a), 3.1(b) and 3.2.
The Declaration of Conformity can be found on

periodic and thorough evaluation of scientific
studies.
The exposure standard for wireless mobile
phones employs a unit of measurement known
as the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). The
SAR limit set by the FCC and IC is 1.6 W/kg.
Tests for SAR are conducted using standard
operating positions as accepted by the FCC
and IC with the phone transmitting at its
highest certified power level in all tested
frequency bands. Although the SAR is
determined at the highest certified power level,
the actual SAR level of the phone while
operating can be well below the maximum
value. This is because the phone is designed
to operate at multiple power levels so as to use
only the power required to reach the network.
In general, the closer you are to a wireless

Before a phone model is available for sale to
the public, it must be tested and certified to
prove to the FCC and IC that it does not
exceed the limit established by the U.S. and
Canadian government-adopted requirement
for safe exposure. The tests are performed on
position and locations (for example, at the ear
