Important Safety and Product Information
WARNING
Failure to heed the following warnings could result in an accident or
collision resulting in death or serious injury.
Off-Road Navigation Warnings
If your Garmin® device is able to suggest off-road routes for various
outdoor activities, such as biking, hiking, and all-terrain vehicles,
follow these guidelines to ensure safe off-road navigation.
•Always use your best judgment and exercise common sense
when making off-road navigational decisions. The Garmin device
is designed to provide route suggestions only. It is not a
replacement for attentiveness and proper preparation for outdoor
activities. Do not follow the route suggestions if they suggest an
illegal course or would put you in an unsafe situation.
• Always carefully compare information displayed on the device to
all available navigation sources, including trail signs, trail
conditions, weather conditions, and other factors that may affect
safety while navigating. For safety, always resolve any
discrepancies before continuing navigation, and defer to posted
signs and conditions.
• Always be mindful of the effects of the environment and the
inherent risks of the activity before embarking on off-road
activities, especially the impact that weather and weather-related
trail conditions can have on the safety of your activity. Ensure
that you have the proper gear and supplies for your activity
before navigating along unfamiliar paths and trails.
Street Navigation Warnings
If your Garmin device accepts street maps and suggests routes that
follow roads, follow these guidelines to ensure safe on-road
navigation.
• Always use your best judgment, and operate the vehicle in a safe
manner. Do not become distracted by the device while driving,
and always be fully aware of all driving conditions. Minimize the
amount of time spent viewing the device screen while driving.
• Do not input destinations, change settings, or access any
functions requiring prolonged use of the device controls while
driving. Pull over in a safe and legal manner before attempting
such operations.
• When navigating, carefully compare information displayed on the
device to all available navigation sources, including road signs,
road closures, road conditions, traffic congestion, weather
conditions, and other factors that may affect safety while driving.
For safety, always resolve any discrepancies before continuing
navigation, and defer to posted signs and conditions.
• The device is designed to provide route suggestions. It is not a
replacement for driver attentiveness and good judgement. Do not
follow route suggestions if they suggest an illegal maneuver or
would place the vehicle in an unsafe situation.
Marine Operation Warnings
•You are responsible for the safe and prudent operation of
your vessel. This device is a tool that will enhance your
capability to operate your vessel. This device does not relieve
you from the responsibility of safely operating your vessel. Avoid
navigational hazards and never leave the helm unattended.
• Use this device only as a navigational aid. Do not attempt to use
the device for any purpose requiring precise measurement of
direction, distance, location, or topography.
• Always be prepared to promptly regain control of the vessel. Use
caution near hazards in the water, such as docks, pilings and
other vessels.
• If the device has navigating capabilities, when navigating,
carefully compare information displayed on the device to all
available navigation sources, including information from visual
sightings, local waterway rules and restrictions, and maps. For
safety, always resolve any discrepancies or questions before
continuing navigation.
• If the device uses maps, use the electronic chart in the device
only to facilitate, not to replace, the use of authorized
government charts. Official government charts and notices to
mariners contain all information needed to navigate safely.
Battery Warnings
This device can use a rechargeable lithium-ion battery or
replaceable alkaline or NiMH batteries.
If these guidelines are not followed, batteries may experience a
shortened life span or may present a risk of damage to the device,
fire, chemical burn, electrolyte leak, and/or injury.
•Do not leave the device exposed to a heat source or in a high-
temperature location, such as in the sun in an unattended
vehicle. To prevent the possibility of damage, remove the device
from the vehicle or store it out of direct sunlight, such as in the
glove box.
• Do not disassemble, modify, remanufacture, puncture or damage
the device or batteries.
• Do not expose the device or batteries to fire, explosion, or other
hazard.
• Do not immerse the device or batteries in water or other liquids.
• Do not use a sharp object to remove the removable batteries.
•KEEP BATTERIES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.

offroadnavigatie neemt.
brengen.
navigatiebronnen, waaronder verkeersborden, afgesloten wegen,
waarmee u uw vaartuig beter kunt besturen.
roer nooit onbemand is.
• Gebruik dit toestel uitsluitend als navigatiehulpmiddel. Gebruik

betjeningsknapper i længere tid, mens du kører. Træk ind til
siden, før du udfører sådanne handlinger.
• Når du bruger enheden, bør du omhyggeligt sammenholde
angivelserne fra enheden med alle tilgængelige
navigationskilder, bl.a. vejskilte, vejspærringer, vejforhold,
sikkerheden under kørslen.
Advarsler for marine betjening
Du

Limited Warranty
Non-aviation products are warranted to be free from defects in
materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.

Tärkeitä turvallisuus- ja tuotetietoja
VAROITUS
Seuraavien varoitusten laiminlyönti voi aiheuttaa onnettomuuden tai
törmäyksen, joka voi johtaa kuolemaan tai vakavaan
loukkaantumiseen.
Maastonavigointivaroitukset
navigoinnista maastossa. Garmin laite antaa ainoastaan
reittiehdotuksia. Se ei korvaa tarkkaavaisuutta ja huolellista
valmistautumista ulkoiluun. Älä seuraa reittiehdotuksia, jos niissä
ehdotetaan laitonta reittiä tai joutuisit vaaralliseen tilanteeseen
niitä seuraamalla.
• Vertaa aina laitteessa näkyviä tietoja kaikkiin käytettävissä
oleviin navigointilähteisiin, kuten tienviittoihin, polun olosuhteisiin,
sääolosuhteisiin ja muihin tekijöihin, jotka voivat vaikuttaa
turvallisuuteen navigoitaessa. Selvitä turvallisuuden vuoksi kaikki
ristiriitaisuudet aina ennen navigoinnin jatkamista, noudata
liittyvien polun olosuhteiden vaikutukset turvallisuuteen.
Katso laitteen
näyttöä mahdollisimman vähän ajaessasi.
• Älä syötä määränpäitä, muuta asetuksia tai käytä paljon aikaa
vieviä toimintoja ajamisen aikana. Siirry tien sivuun turvallisesti ja
lain määräysten mukaisesti ennen näitä toimenpiteitä.
• Vertaa laitteen antamia tietoja navigoinnin aikana kaikkiin muihin
mahdollisiin navigointikeinoihin, kuten tienviitat, tiesulut,
tieolosuhteet, liikenneruuhkat, sääolosuhteet ja muut
ajoturvallisuuteen vaikuttavat tekijät. Selvitä turvallisuuden vuoksi
kaikki ristiriitaisuudet aina ennen navigoinnin jatkamista, noudata
liikennemerkkejä ja huomioi olosuhteet.
• Laite antaa reittiehdotuksia. Se ei korvaa kuljettajan
tarkkaavaisuutta ja harkintaa. Älä seuraa reittiehdotuksia, jos ne
25
DRAFT
edellyttävät laitonta ohjausliikettä tai asettavat ajoneuvon
vaaralliseen tilanteeseen.
• Laite on tarkoitettu ainoastaan navigoinnin avuksi. Älä yritä
käyttää laitetta mihinkään käyttötarkoitukseen, joka edellyttää
tarkkaa suunnan, etäisyyden, paikan tai topografian mittausta.
• Ole aina valmiina vaihtamaan manuaaliseen ohjaukseen. Ole
varovainen, kun vedessä on esteitä, kuten laitureita, paalutuksia
ja muita aluksia.
• Jos laitteessa on navigointiominaisuus, vertaa laitteen antamia
tietoja navigoinnin aikana kaikkiin muihin mahdollisiin
navigointikeinoihin, kuten visuaaliset kohteet, paikalliset
vesitiesäännöt ja kartat. Turvallisuussyistä kaikki eroavuudet ja
epäselvyydet on selvitettävä ennen navigoinnin jatkamista.
• Jos laite käyttää karttoja, käytä laitteen sähköistä karttaa
ainoastaan valtionjohdon virallisten karttojen apuna, ei
korvikkeena. Viralliset kartat ja ilmoitukset merenkulkijoille
sisältävät kaikki turvalliseen navigointiin tarvittavat tiedot.
Akkuvaroitukset
This device can use a rechargeable lithium-ion battery or
replaceable alkaline or NiMH batteries.
kuten auringossa olevaan valvomattomaan ajoneuvoon. Voit
estää vaurioita irrottamalla laitteen ajoneuvosta tai säilyttämällä
sitä pois suorasta auringonpaisteesta, esimerkiksi
hansikaslokerossa.
• Älä pura, muuta, muokkaa, lävistä tai vahingoita laitetta tai
akkuja.
• Älä altista laitetta, akkuja tai paristoja tulelle, räjähdyksille tai
muille vaaroille.
on hyväksytty käytettäväksi laitteessa.
• Käytä ainoastaan oikeanlaisia vaihtoakkuja. Muiden akkujen
käyttäminen voi aiheuttaa tulipalon tai räjähdyksen. Saat
lisätietoja vaihtoakuista Garmin myyjältä tai Garmin sivustosta.
• Käytä ainoastaan oikeanlaisia vaihtoakkuja. Muiden akkujen
käyttäminen voi aiheuttaa tulipalon tai räjähdyksen.
• Älä käytä laitetta paikassa, jonka lämpötila on matalampi tai
korkeampi kuin tuotteen pakkauksessa olevassa painetussa
oppaassa.
pakkauksessa olevan painetun oppaan mukaisessa
lämpötilassa.
• Hävitä laite/akut/paristot paikallisten jätehuoltomääräysten
mukaisesti.
HUOMAUTUS
Navigointilaitteen suorituskyky saattaa heiketä, jos laitetta käytetään
lähellä laitteita, joiden käyttämät maanpäällisen laajakaistaverkon
taajuudet ovat lähellä taajuuksia, joita käytetään
maailmanlaajuisissa navigointijärjestelmissä (Global Navigation
Satellite System, GNSS), kuten GPS (Global Positioning Service) -
järjestelmässä. Näiden laitteiden käyttö saattaa heikentää GNSS-
signaalien vastaanottoa.

Viktig sikkerhets- og produktinformasjon
ADVARSEL
For sikkerhets skyld må
For
sikkerhets skyld må eventuelle uoverensstemmelser alltid
oppklares før du fortsetter å navigere. Følg skilt, og ta hensyn til
forholdene.

säkerhet under aktiviteten.
30
DRAFT
kontroller under tiden du kör.
säkerheten under körning.
aldrig rodret utan uppsikt.
Batterivarningar
This device can use a rechargeable lithium-ion battery or

användarhandboken i produktförpackningen.

i produktu
Jedynym
zadaniem urządzenia Garmin jest przekazywanie wskazówek
dotyczących trasy przejazdu. Nie zwalnia to jednak z obowiązku
zachowania pełnej koncentracji i właściwego przygotowania do
aktywnej turystyki w terenie.
wyprawy.
Ostrzeżenia dotyczące nawigacji drogowej
W przypadku urządzeń firmy Garmin obsługujących mapy ulic oraz
funkcję wyznaczania tras uwzględniającą istniejącą sieć dróg
stosowanie się do niniejszych wskazówek zapewni bezpieczną
nawigację po drogach.
• Należy zawsze samemu oceniać sytuację i bezpiecznie kierować
pojazdem.
Czas
obserwacji ekranu urządzenia podczas jazdy należy ograniczyć
do minimum.
• Podczas jazdy nie należy wprowadzać nowych pozycji, zmieniać
ustawień ani korzystać z funkcji urządzenia, których obsługa
wymaga poświęcenia dużej ilości czasu. Przed przystąpieniem
do wykonywania takich czynności należy zatrzymać samochód
w sposób bezpieczny i zgodny z przepisami.
zamkniętych dróg, warunkami pogodowymi i innymi czynnikami
z obowiązku zachowania pełnej koncentracji i rozwagi. Nie
należy kierować się wskazówkami dotyczącymi trasy, jeśli
proponują one niedozwolony prawem manewr albo stawiają
pojazd w niebezpiecznej sytuacji.
Ostrzeżenia dotyczące obsługi urządzenia na wodzie
•Użytkownik jest odpowiedzialny za bezpieczne i roztropne
sterowanie swoim statkiem. Niniejsze urządzenie jest
narzędziem wspomagającym sterowanie statkiem. Nie zwalnia
ono użytkownika z obowiązku bezpiecznego sterowania swoim
33
DRAFT
statkiem. Należy unikać zagrożeń nawigacyjnych i nigdy nie
zostawiać steru bez nadzoru.
•Urządzenie należy traktować tylko jako pomoc nawigacyjną. Nie
należy korzystać z urządzenia do celów wymagających
dokładnych pomiarów kierunku, odległości, lokalizacji lub celów
topograficznych.
• Należy zawsze być przygotowanym do szybkiego przejęcia
sterowania statkiem.
Oficjalne
mapy państwowe i wskazówki dla marynarzy zawierają wszystkie
informacje niezbędne dla bezpiecznej nawigacji.

Važne informacije o sigurnosti i proizvodu
UPOZORENJE
najboljom procjenom i primijenite zdrav razum.
vas one mogle dovesti u nesigurne situacije.
prije no što nastavite s navigacijom i poštujte postavljene
prometne znakove i uvjete.
• Uvijek vodite brigu o utjecajima okoline i rizicima određene
nepoznatim putovima i stazama.
Upozorenja za navigaciju po cesti
Ako vaš uređaj tvrtke Garmin prihvaća karte ulica i predlaže rute
smjernice.
• Uvijek se vodite najboljom procjenom i vozilom upravljajte na
siguran način. Nemojte dopustiti da vam uređaj odvraća pažnju
tijekom vožnje i pazite da uvijek budete potpuno svjesni svih
uvjeta vožnje. Vrijeme gledanja u zaslon uređaja tijekom vožnje
svedite na minimum.
• Tijekom vožnje nemojte unositi odredišta, mijenjati postavke ili
pristupati funkcijama koje zahtijevaju duže korištenje kontrola
uređaja. Prije takvih operacija zaustavite vozilo na siguran način
sukladan zakonskim propisima.
poštujte postavljene prometne znakove i uvjete.
