• Enter an initial consonant, a medial vowel and a final consonant in

accordance with Korean orthography. If the final consonant does not

meet Korean orthography, it is moved to the initial consonant of the next

character.

-Medial vowel: ‘ㅗ’is medial vowel in ‘홍’

-Final consonant: ‘ㅇ’is final consonant in ‘홍’

• To enter a second vowel on a key, press the key twice. ( If it’s‘ ’,

manager) is started. You can download the content by executing the memory

manager and deleting the content stored in the phone. (excluding protected

With the wired/wireless integrated service provided by Melon, you can search content, streams or downloads MP3

music content.

You can save, manage and play the music content downloaded from June or Melon.

You can select the content you want to play by pressing button.

You can download the music content as long as the memory capacity allows.

You can receive a call while playing the music content. The phone returns to the music play mode after

the call.

You can control volume with Volume button as the content is being played. The phone

continues playing music even if you close the slide while the phone is playing music content.

You can select a section to be repeated by pressing . If you press again, the selected section is

repeated.

If you press (Left), you can use the multi-tasking function to change settings, to access

wireless internet, or to manage text messages while playing music content.

Download’ on the MP3 Player installation Guide. (Make sure to connect

the phone with PC before installing the USB driver.)

Downloading Melon Player

You can download ‘Melon Player’ program from SKT, save, play, send

and manage MP3 files. Contact the service provider or visit Melon

homepage (www.melon.com) for further information of ‘Melon Player’.

Melon player is the free exclusive PC software operating in PC. You can

download, save, play, send or manage MP4 files (DCF files).

About SKT Melon Player?

Click DOWNLOAD of the model ▶ Click Save on the file

downloading message box ▶ Select a folder and click Save ▶

Execute the file in the folder and click install ▶ Click OK on the

installation complete window

※ An erro may occur when installing a USB driver depending on the enviro-

ment of PC. Click Error in Driver Installation on the installation guide window

and check the description.

Connect the phone with PC with the 5PIN USB data cable.

※

The PC with automatically recognize the phone and install the

program. If an error occurs in recognizing the phone, click

Error in Driver Installation on the installation guide window

and check the description.

Contact the Melon homepage (http://www.melon.com), download a

Melon player program, and install it on PC.

※

Click ‘DOWNLOAD start’ in Melon MP3 Player on the Motorola homepage.

1) Access the Melon homepage (www.melon.com) and subscribe to it

as a member.

2) In case of saving an MP3 file in the mobile phone, make sure to turn

on the mobile phone, and connect it to PC via a 5PIN USB data cable

before executing the Melon Player.

3) After executing the Melon Player, try log-in.

4) After selecting a desired song, you can enjoy music with an MP3 player

or send this MP3 file to the mobile phone.

※

To send file to the phone, SKT integrated USB driver is required.

(See Melon homepage Customer Center for further information.)

※

When sending an MP3 file to the phone via PC, do not remove the 5PIN

USB data cable by force. Such act may cause malfunction of the phone.

※

Service fee is charged for downloading MP3 files to PC or saving MP3

files to the phone. The fee will be charged based on SKT’s Melon.

Playing MP3 files

This service is available for the customers who have an integrated ID

issued from SKT membership site T-World (http://www.tworld.co.kr)

※ In case of downloading or listening MP3 files on PC, it is not necessary to

connect the phone.

※ It is possible to send PC-downloaded MP3 files to the phone again.

However, it is impossible to send files from the phone to PC again.

※

To send MP3 files to the phone, make sure that you have an MP3-only

phone and have the mobile phone authorized. (Contact the service

provider or see Melon homepage Customer Center for further information.)

You can check the MP3 file downloaded to the phone via ‘Melon box’.

Only MP3 files with extension ‘DOF’ can be played in the phone.

󰥇 The phone may fail to detect the accurate location in the underground or

thrnel where GPS signal is blocked.

󰥇 If the vehicle vibrates severely, there can be a vibration on the screen.

Before using camera

Bluetooth is a standard for wireless communications at short

distances 2.45GHz and perfoms a wireless connection be-

the lower the speech quality is.

If the unit is more than a certain distance away from the phone, a call may be

disconnected.

When making a call in a noisy indoor or outdoor, surrounding noises may

interrupt the call.

󰥇 If you make a call in interrupted areas or a part of the body like hands touches

the receiving/sending part of the phone, the phone may work abnormally or

generate some noise.

Out of Motorola bluetooth functions, the communication with mobile handsets

is optimized for Motorola mobile phones, so it cannot be compatible with

those of other manufacturers.

Bluetooth may generate some different performances according to applicable

rules. This device is low in transmission output, but signal decrease is so large

By connecting the phone with the bluetooth PC, you can use the phone as a

wireless communication modem, or you can easily send files from the phone to PC.

You can copy the photos in the phone to PC using PC Sync program for

bluetooth communication between PC and VU20.

The bluetooth headset/handsfree kit/stereo head set must be connected to

the phone.

•

Because the computer and the VU20 phone communicate with each other

via OPP (Object Push Profile), there is a case that the function is not sup-

ported depending on the PC manufacturer.

•

Use the PC Sync program for bluetooth communication between PC and VU20.

•

Since the function works differently depending on the software installed in the

PC, read the bluetooth manual of each vendor.

If you select Dial-up Networking in Access setting in bluetooth preferences,

you can use the bluetooth device as a wireless communication modem.

2) Sending files to PC

You can search files in the phone and send them to PC.

Run the bluetooth control program (PC sync) on the PC.

B efore using the dictionary

•Downloading via PC-Sync Program

Go to Motorola homepage (www.mymotorola.co.kr), download PC-Sync, and

install it to PC.

2) Run PC-Sync program and click [E-Document > Dictionary]

3) If you select [Put E-Dictionary into Cell Phone] after clicking [E-Dictionary] from

[E-Document > Dictionary] program, the e-dictionary database are saved inth

the phone.

2) If you copy a downloaded file to DIC folder of a USB Mass Storage after

The MP3 files downloaded to the USB mass storage in the mobile phone cannot be played in other mobile phone.

•

You can find the MP3 files stored in the USB mass storage in “june Contents Box”.

•You cannot play the MP3 files or contents if you rename or delete the default folder name of the USB mass storage.

You can mount and dismount the external memory card.
