Name and Function of Front Keys Front panel Functions Power Switch Power switch is located in the lower center of the monitor stand. You can push the switch to turn on/off the power. Power Saving LED If the green LED around the power switch turns into blinking amber, it indicates the monitor is in power saving mode. If the amber LED keeps blinking and input signal LED is blinking, it indicates the monitor does not support input video signal. Signal Source LED Each of the five LEDs (from left; PC1, DVI, TV, V1 and V2) over the power switch indicates the source of the signal which the monitor displays. On Screen Display (OSD) Function Button OSD buttons on the front of the monitor perform the following functions. VOL + KEY MUTE KEY SELECT KEY VOL - KEY AUTO/EXIT KEY CH + KEY MENU KEY CH - KEY POWER KEY 10 MUTE : Cut off sound SELECT : Press this button, when OSD is displayed, to select the function the cursor locates. If you press this button when OSD is not displayed, monitor displays source of the signal in order. DVI TV V1(Video V2(S-VHS)) (PC1 AUTO/EXIT : Press this button, when OSD is not displayed, to perform automatic setting. If you press this button when OSD is displayed, you can switch the display to the previous OSD status. MENU : Press this button to display menus. POWER : Power switch. CHANNEL : Press this button to select TV channel in TV mode when OSD is not displayed. Or press the button, when OSD is displayed, to move the cursor into the menus which you want. You can also display information with this button when OSD is not displayed in PC mode. VOLUME : Press this button to adjust volume of audio when OSD is not displayed. Type Auto Adjustment Press AUTO/EXIT on the monitor front when OSD is not displayed to perform Auto Adjustment. 2) Hot key on remote controller Information Display Press ENTER key on the remote controller to display information. Press VOL button in TV or Video mode when OSD is not displayed, so that volume may increase or decrease. PIP function is applied to some models. Warning To avoid exposition, replace the batteries correctly. Use the batteries designated by a manufacturer or equivalent. Dispose the batteries as the instruction of a manufacturer. 26 Install TUNER in the designated location in the rear side of the stand. To prevent damage or loss, please read this warning carefully. When connecting/disconnecting the plug, pull out the plug itself, and never pull the plug to prevent fire caused by short. Picture is dark. Adjust COLOR at User Mode in OSD Color Menu. To prevent electric shock, do not connect/disconnect the plug with wet hand. Picture is biased or cut or too wide. Power LED turns into amber or blinking amber. Perform OSD ADJUSTMENT. Perform AUTO ADJUSTMENT. If you see smoke or smell something burning, stop using the unit, switch off the power, pull out the plug, and then contact your local service station. AUTO / EXIT VOL Monitor is in power saving mode. To prevent fire, do not connect a large number of equipment in a single line. No sound. Dead sound. Check the voice signal connection code or adjust volume. To prevent fire and electric shock, pull out the plug in case of thunder and lightening. Adjust BASS and TREBLE. AUTO / EXIT TV signal is not received. Check if the selected channel mode is in accordance with the channel mode of the area. Select AUTO SEARCH to set up the channel automatically. 32 VOL AUTO / EXIT VOL To prevent fire and electric shock, do not try to take the monitor apart or repair it yourself. Contact your local service station or customer service center for inspection, modification or repair. 33
